Western Sydney Urban Bushland Biodiversity Survey - NPWS 1995-96 (UBBS)
The UBBS is the most comprehensive assessment of the Cumberland Plain's flora and fauna ever conducted. As well as providing a detailed summary of the region's wildlife it also includes frank recommendations of what is needed to conserve our wild areas for future generations. In particular it's unapologetic position on land clearing stands in stark contrast to current government attitudes and provides an historic perspective on the early successes of the National Parks & Wildlife Service.
The vast Appendices include detailed information for hundreds of bushland remnants across the region including flora species lists and conservation recommendations.
This is a vital resource for anyone interested in saving our remarkable local wildlife.
